We have the ability to custom make guards to  fit almost any aperture or opening.  Ideal for non standard garage doors, double patio doors or any large opening that needs protection from flooding. 

In addition we can make custom fit guards for almost any situation the needs protection in a variety of colours to aesthetically fit in with the look of the property.

Floodguards have an excellent building team which carries out various remedial work when required.   In the example shown the brick pillars are built to help accommodate the flood guards,  as the opening was very restricted in terms of clearance around the door itself.

We have the ability to tailor our backframes to fit the most akward of openings.  We can “pack out” certain area’s that the backframe would fit to with, water resistant pressure treated hard wood “Eroika” posts. Meaning that guards can be tailored to fit on non perpendicular walls.  The wood is as resitant as our guards helping to form a watertight seal.

We can carry out remedial work on your property to not only ensure that the floodguards fit correctly but also to make sure that the entire property remains watertight.  We can tie new steps into doorways ,again to make sure that the guards fit correctly.  This helps you to gain easy access to the door whilst providing the necessary thresholds that the guard needs to operate effectively.  All of this work is designed to visually complement the existing facade of the property.

If there is insufficient clearance around the door we can install purpose built channels that provide the threshold needed to fit the guards. This is particularly important when protecting garages and patio doors, or any opening that fits flush to ground level. Our installers professionally fit the channel to your property in a manner that is visually acceptable.  Once installed the galvanised steel channel is covered with a very hard wearing Aluminium chequer plate cover. Ensuring that the cover is hard wearing enough to withstand cars driving over the top but also resistant to water corrosion, as is the galvanised steel channel itself.

Rapidam is the flexible protection solution for non-standard openings, stand alone buildings area’s of land or strategically vital infrastructure that can’t be protected by the guards alone.  The Rapidam can be tailored to almost any situation that requires protection. In this example a roadway tunnel that is prone to flooding has been protected preventing the sensitive area on the  far side of the tunnel from flooding.  Water resistant hard wood posts have been permanently tied into the fabric of the stone walls of the tunnel.  This allows the Rapidam to be deployed in the tunnel in a very short time scale indeed, but more importantly the posts help to create the watertight seal needed to allow the Rapidam to work.

Thames Water felt that their Rusper sewage pumping station was in need in of protection and asked Floodguards to design a solution that would prevent sewage from contaminating the local water ways

The floodguards team built a double skin waterproof wall around the three vulnerable sides of the station and diverted water pipes around the project.  The entrance into the site was protected with a custom built floodguard. Finally A guard rail was installed around the wall.  This work ensured if the site flooded the run off water would not come into contact with the sewage being processed at the station. Allowing the flood run off to flow into the local waterways without the fear of contamination.
